曾被《紐約音樂會評論》和《華盛頓郵報》譽為具有「優美的琴聲」和「讓聽眾愉悅的傑出演出」的旅美大提琴家陳南呈，經常受邀於南美、北美、歐洲及亞洲知名場地演出，包括紐約林肯中心及卡內基音樂廳等，曾有一年近百場演出的紀錄。他曾以獨奏家身份與委內瑞拉Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra合作包伯（Samual Barber）大提琴協奏曲，近期（2024），以獨奏家身分受邀在水藍指揮的國立臺灣交響樂團開季音樂會演出協奏曲。

陳南呈為2010年成立的新亞室內樂協會（NACMS）創辦人兼執行總監，獲得紐約音樂會評論讚譽為「一流的音樂組織」，並於2022至2025間連續受邀至紐約大都會球場和麥迪遜花園等NBA和MLB球賽擔任開場演出嘉賓。NACMS之首張專輯《情繫心憶》於2022年獲臺灣傳藝金曲獎「最佳編曲」和「最佳錄音」兩項入圍。

12歲赴美，在美求學期間曾獲Queens Symphony 青少年獨奏家比賽、Quincy Symphony 協奏曲比賽、波士頓室內樂協會音樂比賽、Metro-West Symphony 協奏曲比賽等首獎殊榮。於紐約茱莉亞音樂院取得學士和碩士，並獲美國傑出人才永久居留權，隨後以全額獎學金進入紐約市立大學博士班就讀。曾師從Eleonore Schoenfeld, Mark Churchill, Joel Krosnick和Marcy Rosen等大提琴家。

現旅居紐約，曾任教於紐約市立大學皇后分校（Queens College），紐約Mahanaim音樂院，紐約飛天大學教授大提琴和室內樂，並曾於美國賓州州立大學、Wisconsin 大學、國立臺灣師範大學音樂系擔任大師班教學。自2019年起，每年暑假受邀於奧地利Altenburger Musik Akademie音樂節擔任大提琴師資。2025年起，由指揮家范志登（Jaap van Zweden）任命為長榮交響樂團特約大提琴首席。

An avid chamber musician, Nan-Cheng is the Executive Director and co-founder of the New Asia Chamber Music Society (NACMS). He also serves as Principal Cellist of both the Solisti Ensemble and Pegasus: The Orchestra, and has performed with award-winning groups such as Sonic Escape and Neptune Trio.

As a soloist, Nan-Cheng has appeared with renowned orchestras including the Simón Bolívar Orchestra, Vienna International Orchestra, National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, Queens Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Symphony Orchestra, MetroWest Symphony, and Symphony Pro Musica. Of a recent concerto performance, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette wrote:"It was the kind of performance one might hear live only once a decade."

Originally from Taiwan, Nan-Cheng holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees from The Juilliard School and is currently pursuing a Doctorate at the CUNY Graduate Center. He has served as Adjunct Assistant Professor at CUNY Queens College, Feitian College in Middletown, and the Mahanaim Institute in Long Island.

Nan-Cheng is a CME Artist with the Center for Musical Excellence, and in 2025, he was appointed Principal Cellist of the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra by conductor Jaap van Zweden.
