北村陽 Yo Kitamura

2024年,北村陽榮獲安奈斯可國際大賽(George Enescu International Competition)與卡薩爾斯國際獎(Pablo Casals International Award)雙料首獎。英國權威音樂雜誌《The Strad》盛讚他在比賽中的表現:「北村是一位無庸置疑的音樂天才。」


2023年,他在第29屆布拉姆斯國際大賽中奪得首獎與特別獎,以及日本最具聲望的第92屆日本音樂比賽首獎及五項特別獎。2022年,他獲得哈察都量國際音樂大賽第二名,並於2017年柴科夫斯基國際青少年音樂比賽以全票之姿奪得首獎。


他曾於柏林藝術大學、克朗伯格學院(Kronberg Academy),跟隨Jens-Peter Maintz習琴,並在桐朋學園大學音樂部受教於堤剛。


北村陽曾三度參與克朗伯格學院,並於2022年獲頒獎學金赴該校深造。他也曾接受Wolfgang Boettcher, David Geringas, Philippe Muller, Mischa Maisky,以及Steven Isserlis等大師指導。


2004年出生於日本兵庫縣,4歲習琴,9歲即舉行協奏曲首演,11歲首登日本三得利音樂廳演出海頓《C大調大提琴協奏曲》,至今已與眾多職業樂團合作演出,曾合作過的指揮包括小林研一郎、高関健、大友直人、藤岡幸夫、山田和樹、Giovanni Antonini、Andrei Feher、Alfredo Sorichetti、Jonathan Bloxham及Piotr Jaworski等。

2020年,他臨時代打德國大提琴家Julian Steckel,與井上道義指揮的讀賣日本交響樂團合作演出,獲得極高評價。


他曾獲出光音樂獎、齋藤秀雄紀念基金獎、大倉飯店音樂獎、坂井時忠音樂獎、Arion音樂獎、霧島國際音樂祭獎等多項殊榮,同時也是第52屆江副紀念Recruit財團獎學金得主,並獲頒ROHM音樂基金會獎學金。


他目前使用的大提琴為上野製藥株式會社贊助提供的1668年製“Casini”。



Yo Kitamura was born in Japan in 2004.


In 2024, he won the 1st prize at both the George Enescu International Competition and the Pablo Casals International Award.


His performance at the competition was praised by the distinguished British music magazine The Strad, which stated, "Kitamura is an undeniable musical talent." In 2023, he won the 1st prize and the special prize at the 29th International Johannes Brahms Competition and the 1st prize and five special prizes at the 92th Japan Music Competition, the most prestigious in Japan. He won the 2nd prize at the 2022 Khachaturian International Competition, and the 1st prize unanimously at the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in 2017.


He has studied with Prof. Jens-Peter Maintz at the Berlin University of the Arts and Prof. Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi at Toho Gakuen College of Music.


He has participated in the Kronberg Academy three times as an active participant in the class of Jens Peter Maintz, and in 2022, he was awarded a scholarship to study there. In 2019, he also attended the Cello Academy Rutesheim, where he studied with Claudio Bohórquez. Additionally, he has taken masterclasses with Wolfgang Boettcher, David Geringas, Philippe Muller, Mischa Maisky, and Steven Isserlis.


At the age of 9, he made his concerto debut, and at 11, his Suntory Hall debut, performing Haydn's Cello Concerto in C major. He has performed with numerous professional orchestras, working with conductors Kenichiro Kobayashi, Ken Takaseki, Naoto Otomo, Sachio Fujioka, and Kazuki Yamada, Giovanni Antonini, Andrei Feher, Alfredo Sorichetti, Jonathan Bloxham, Piotr Jaworski, and many more.


In 2020, he earned outstanding reviews when he substituted for Julian Steckel in a concert conducted by Michiyoshi Inoue with Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra.


He was awarded the Idemitsu Music Award, the Saito Hideo Memorial Fund Award, the Hotel Okura Music Award, the Tokitada Sakai Music Award, the Arion Music Award, and the Kirishima International Music Festival Award.


He is a recipient of the 52th Ezoe Memorial Recruit Foundation scholarship and the ROHM Music Foundation scholarship.


He plays a 1668 "Casini"cello, on loan from Ueno Fine Chemicals Industry, Ltd.
