The second Taipei concert brings together four internationally renowned cellists to perform cello-piano masterpieces inspired by East–West cultural exchange since the 19th century, revealing the distinctive sounds and resonances created through cultural dialogue.
Among others the Taipei finale will be a dazzling celebration of world premieres. Top cellists from Taiwan and abroad will form a large cello ensemble to present:

Together they will explore the attraction between cultures, the creative energy sparked by cultural resonance, and the possibilities born from cross-cultural exchange.
The second workshop invites French cellist and ethnomusicologist Franck Bernède to guide participants on a journey "back to the East," traveling from Asian deserts to European concert halls while listening to the "melodies of cultural symphony" across centuries of intercultural history.
"Moments of Resonance" – Amateur Cellists Invited to Join a One-Day Festival Cello Orchestra
To give beginner and amateur cellists the opportunity to perform alongside international masters, TWICF will host one "Moments of Resonance" event each in Taipei and Kaohsiung.
Six beloved folk songs from France, China, Poland, Japan, Switzerland, and Taiwan have been specially arranged for the occasion. Participants will perform together with TWICF musicians under the guidance of Swiss composer, cellist, and Co-Artistic Director Fabian Müller—who also arranged the folk-song repertoire—creating unforgettable moments of musical resonance and shared joy.
