2007年出生於臺北，現就讀於瑞士巴塞爾音樂學院（Hochschule für Musik Basel），師事Danjulo Ishizaka教授。自加入國小弦樂團起學習大提琴，求學期間曾獲黃亦屏、高炳坤、連亦先、Ben Hong、Hee Young Lim、Jens Peter Maintz指導。先後師事 Norbert Anger、大提琴家李孟坡及國家交響樂團大提琴首席Simon Thompson。

2022至2023 年入選國立臺灣交響樂團暑期音樂營；曾連續六屆獲選參加NSYO國家青年交響樂團，期間屢獲「優良學員」肯定，並擔任大提琴首席。曾以 NSYO 學員身分，受邀參與2026 年德國青年交響樂團（JDPh）歐洲巡演交流計畫。在臺求學期間，屢獲全國學生音樂比賽獎項，2024年參與倫敦協奏曲比賽表現優異晉級準決賽。

Liang Yu Chen is currently studying at the Hochschule für Musik Basel in Switzerland, under the guidance of Professor Danjulo Ishizaka. He began studying the cello in elementary school as a member of the school string orchestra. Throughout his musical training, he has received guidance from Yi-Ping Huang, Associate Professor Bing-Kun Kao, Yi-Hsien Lien (Associate Principal Cellist of the National Symphony Orchestra Taiwan), Ben Hong (Associate Principal Cellist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic), Hee Young Lim (Professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München), and Jens Peter Maintz (Professor at the Universität der Künste Berlin). He has also studied with Norbert Anger (Principal Cellist of the Staatskapelle Dresden), cellist Meng-Po Lee, and Simon Thompson.

Orchestral Experience

. National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (NTSO)：Participated in the summer music camps in 2022 and 2023.

. National Symphony Youth Orchestra Taiwan (NSYO)：selected to participate from the first through the sixth editions. During this period, he received multiple Outstanding Student awards and served as Principal Cellist.

International Exchange

Invited as an NSYO member to participate in the 2026 European tour and exchange program with the German Youth Orchestra (JDPh).
