Fluid Boundaries - From Exotic Imagination to Cultural Resonance
今年藝術節的主題是「東西交響」。亞洲文化與西方世界之間持續且豐富的交流互動，以及西方文化在亞洲所激盪出的多重影響，都在音樂中綻放出格外深刻有力的表現。而此刻，這場跨越百年的文化對話歷久彌新，在當代展現出前所未有的活力與時代意義。
在這場引人入勝且富含洞見的對談中，備受推崇的跨領域藝術家、歌手暨詩人雷光夏，與瑞士作曲家、同時也是藝術節聯合藝術總監法比安．穆勒，將一起探尋不同文化之間相互吸引的關係脈絡、感受文化相遇時悄然生成的創作能量，以及跨文化交融所激發的多元可能，並進一步反思，當我們談論「異國性」時，如何在覺察與尊重的前提下被理解與對待。

雷光夏
臺灣音樂創作者，以其獨特的詩意情感與電影般的畫面感而聞名。她的作品涵蓋詞曲創作、演唱、電影配樂與專輯製作，融合環境音樂、電子音樂與民謠元素。至今已發行多張個人專輯，包括《我是雷光夏》、《臉頰貼緊月球》、《時間的密語》、《黑暗之光》、《不想忘記的聲音》以及《小故事》。同時在電影音樂領域有廣泛貢獻，曾為侯孝賢導演的《南國再見，南國》與《海上花》擔任配樂，並為電影《第36個故事》、《范保德》及《返校》創作原創主題曲。其成就包括多次獲得台北電影節最佳音樂獎，以及金馬獎最佳電影原創歌曲獎。
法比安．穆勒
他是被看重，且作品被廣泛演出的瑞士作曲家之一，其管弦樂作品常由著名指揮演出，作品在多個重要音樂廳首演和演出，許多國際音樂節也演出他的創作。曾獲美國阿斯本音樂節Jacob Druckman作曲大獎、瑞士蘇黎世省文化部作曲獎及瑞士音樂家獎、瑞士Zollikon藝術獎等。2021年，受瑞士TOBS 歌劇院委託創作首部歌劇《艾格峰》被讚譽為「國寶級傑作」。2024 年獲德 Opus Klassik提名年度作曲家。他曾費時十年籌備發行由Hanny Christen蒐集的瑞士傳統民族音樂，一套十冊共收錄瑞士19世紀來超過一萬首傳統民族樂曲。

East–West Confluence is the theme of this year's festival. The rich and ongoing exchange between Asian cultures and the West — and likewise Western influences in Asia — finds particularly powerful expression in music. With a history spanning more than a century, this cultural dialogue is more vibrant and relevant today than ever before.
In an engaging and insightful conversation, the acclaimed, multidisciplinary artist, singer and poet Summer Lei and Swiss composer and artistic co-director of the festival Fabian Müller explore the mutual fascination between cultures, the creative potential inherent in their encounters, and the opportunities that arise from cultural cross-pollination, while also reflecting thoughtfully on how the notion of the "exotic" can be approached with awareness and respect.

Summer Lei
Her works blending ambient, electronic, and singer-songwriter folk, chamber pop, art pop, and experimental soundscapes. She has released several personal albums, including I Am Lei Kwang-hsia, Cheeks to the Moon, Secret Words of Time, The Light of Darkness, Sounds I Don't Want to Forget, and Little Stories. She has contributed extensively to film music, including scores for Hou Hsiao-hsien's Goodbye South, Goodbye and Flowers of Shanghai, as well as original theme songs for Taipei Exchanges, Father to Son, and Detention. Her achievements include multiple awards, such as Best Music at the Taipei Film Festival and Best Original Film Song at the Golden Horse Awards.
Fabian Müller
Fabian Müller is one of the leading Swiss composers of his generation. His works have been premiered by distinguished musicians of our time and performed in prestigious concert halls and at major festivals around the world. He has received numerous accolades, including the Swiss Music Prize 2016, and was nominated for the prestigious German award Opus Klassik as "Composer of the Year" in 2024. A defining moment in his career came with his opera EIGER, which premiered in Switzerland during the 2021/22 season. Inspired by the dramatic first ascent of the Eiger North Face, the work was hailed as "a Swiss masterpiece." For ten years (1991–2002), he worked on the publication of the Hanny Christen Collection, a ten-volume anthology of folk music comprising over 10,000 tunes from the 19th century.
